Dead in the Desert

It feels weird to go from posting every single day (or more often) during my Summer Road Trip, to this week. I've posted once (this is #2).

But I have a good excuse.

It's just too dang hot! This is where I live. My house is right behind that rock.

I just can't function when the heat goes up to 90+.

This is my brain. Isn't it pretty with all the colors?

This is my brain when the temperature hits 90F.

I am a non-functioning blob, living on Fudgesicles and SoBes.

And today, it's supposed to hit 102. (Nooooooooooo!!)

quick question - I think I want a UB oil warmer and scent collection. Do you have a blogger babe discount for me:) (puhleez...) Letme know - I'll be in your neighborhood this evening for a family B-day celebration and I could swing by....

so...my suggestion is to stay inside with the air conditioning on, keep the blinds and curtains closed and stay as still as possible... like stay in bed and read and blog and drink cool drinks and eat popsicles and nothing else and you won't even know how hot it is outside :)

That is a great idea and I would so totally take your advice, but no one will pay me money to stay in bed all day, reading and eating fudgsicles. :(

Hey! I can see my house in the picture too! :) I don't enjoy the heat either and it's been pretty icky. I spent most of the day in the basement yesterday and that was nice.

Well I hate to say it, but it's been perfect round here. We had our heat stroke a couple weeks ago, hopefully there won't be anymore like that. 100 degrees with 90% humidity. Ack!

Being as my hubby cranks the AC up to Arctic Tundra levels, I keep going outside to warm up. And right now I'm wearing a wool cardigan, I kid you not. But then, I get cold REALLY easy.

Thanks for dropping by my road trip prizes yesterday--yippee!!! They smell good . . .

See, it is so hot I can't even think of something cute to say about this. I am so not looking forward to the parade with the marching band tomorrow. Those uniforms are so hot, I am going to have to make sure there is extra water for the band members.

But, the fireworks will be at the jr. high this year so we can watch from the yard-that is a good thing.

Karlene,
Hey, your brain on 102° temperatures looks almost the same as a brain on drugs! :0) Just a little more scrambled, though.

Poor Karlene, I feel your pain and will eat some ice cold watermelon in your honor.

By the way, just wanted to drop by and tell you thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. Don't know how I missed the Blogorator!

Have a great 4th of July celebration!
