Dislike the Space

True confession #7 of psychological obstacles that keep me cluttered and disorganized.

I hate my house.

Okay, hate is too strong of a word. Here's the deal. It's a rambler with three bedrooms upstairs and a full basement. The issue is the basement—it's getting harder for me to run up and down those stupid stairs. Also, it always smells mildewy down there. Plus, when my office is down there, I feel like I'm in a dungeon, being punished for something.

So, I bring my work upstairs and I work in my bedroom, or the living room, or the kitchen. And then I never put the stuff back downstairs. Then I lose it because my stuff has no home upstairs.

Plus. Everything is falling apart, needing repairs. I don't even want to get into that.

Moving to a new home is not an option right now. So I have to figure out a way to make this house usable and functional. And I think I'm on the right track. More about that in my planning stage.
