Forks or Bust: Day 20

Sunday—a day of rest. Finally!

We went to church. Thank goodness we found a meeting that didn't start until 11:00 a.m.

Then we came back to the hotel and took naps.

For dinner, we took a picnic out to Golden Gardens Park and very sedately celebrated Edward's birthday. The whole Cullen family came out to celebrate with us!

Alice and Jasper (one of his rare smiles)

Esme and Carlisle

Rosalie and Emmett

It got a little tense when Suan told Edward he should have
left Bella back in Forks.
But other than that, the party was lots of fun.
No one got a paper cut while opening presents.

Nichole made Edward's birthday cake.

Kandis brought the drinks.

After dinner, Edward wanted to go hiking but we just couldn't do it.
(Sorry, Ed. We were just all partied out. We're only human, y'know.)

The Golden Gardens Park offers a wonderful view of the Puget Sound. In fact, it was so pretty, we managed to lug ourselves over there for a short stroll.

(Go see his other photos. They're amazing!)

(I just love saying Puget Sound.)

When it got dark, we went back to Golden Gardens Park.

The Cullens made a huge bonfire so we could roast S'mores.

But then it started to get a little scary.

First, Jacob showed up.
Edward was slightly ticked about that.
No one likes it when uninvited guests crash their birthday party.

Then we noticed some scary dudes playing on the beach.

When the Volturi showed up, everybody started freaking out.

Then the wolves made their appearance...

We made a group huddle and decided to
get the werewolf outta' there before we got caught in the middle of it all.

Fortunately, all of us made it back to the hotel safely.

I would give him something hand=made. He couldn't possibly have something that was an original creation. Or something vintage like vinyl records, etc. It's hard to buy for someone who has everything.

Wow, a little like trying to find a gift for my hubby. Very difficult. I think I'd give him a little vial of blood (mtn lion of course) on a chain to wear around his neck- in case of an emergency. (kinda like Angelina Jolie)(gross)
