Forks or Bust: Day 25

Friday, June 25—I can't believe it but with all the fun at La Push, I forgot to get a photo of the werewolf/vampire dividing line. So I took one this morning as we headed out to the Baseball Field.
This is the official treaty line sign placed by the city of Forks.

But I like this one better. It's the Quileute sign.
That's Emily on the right. Don't know the boy on the left.

Here's Edward. He's meeting us at the treaty line so
we can follow him to the baseball field.

This is the field. Not much to look at.
That dirt spot is where there was a bonfire recently...

The Cullen's invited us to play baseball with them. But, honestly?
It wasn't a lot of fun because they're very competitive.

Also, we were losing. Bad.

So we finally just sat on the sidelines and watched them play.

Carlisle getting ready for a turn at bat.
Emmett caught the ball and Carlisle was out.

Edward is keeping an eye on Jasper. Jasper cheats.

Edward hit a home run. Yay!

After the ball game, we hiked up to the campsite where
Bella hid out from the Newborn Army.
It was a long hike and dang cold when we got there.

Bella is showing us her tent and demonstrating
the complex workings of the zipper.

Edward is giving us a blow by blow of his fight with Victoria.
Poor tree. He beat it up.

When we came back to the motel we were so tired
that we laid down and died.

Today's Travel Question:

How did Stephenie Meyer decide
to set her story in Forks?

Hey, I know this one! She did an internet search to find the rainiest, cloudiest place in the United States.

Yes, I am aware that I know all too many of these details. Hard to forget that one--I'm a writer too.

Hmm, because it was pretty rainy and the vampires needed the rain since sunlight made them sparkle XD
